Meet Yasasvy Gunturu, Co-Driver and Competition Winner 17 Nov 2021
We spoke to Yasasvy Gunturu, one of five winners in our recent Brand JWW Sunglasses competition.
We asked the JWW Co-Drivers to send in a picture of themselves featuring their pair of Brand JWW Sunglasses in the most epic locations.
We were inundated with entries from all over the globe, and Yasasvy duly sent in a picture of himself at Gandikota (above) in Andrha Pradesh, a spectacular location which is also known as the Grand Canyon of India. Its name translates as Gandi - Canyon and Kota - Fort.
Reflecting on his photo entry, Yasasvy said: “It’s such a scenic and picturesque place. I can say no camera can do justice in capturing its beauty. It's a place where it's scorching hot and sunny most of the time, so I took my Estoril JWW Sunglasses….”
“The picture has some significance for me. It's my first pair of sunglasses and I bought them with my first salary, plus that place is also epic. First time visiting the place and the first time using those glasses means a lot to me“.
Yasasvy’s entry made the top 10 as chosen by Mr JWW himself. He was then pitched against another picture in a winner takes all shoot-out on social media.
After a voting frenzy, where other Co-Drivers were able to vote for their favourite photo, Yasasvy won with 55% of the vote, and choose a brand new pair of Brand JWW Tuscana sunglasses as his prize.

Upon winning his new sunglasses, Yasavy said: “To be honest I pinched myself. I thought I was dreaming. I can say, that moment is one of the best moments of my life.”
Yasasvy has been a fan of Mr JWW for over two years, ever since he watched the Bugatti Chiron Autobahn High Speed Run (below) on YouTube. However, his all-time favourite video is the recent Senna first drive, a video he describes as “bonkers”.
In terms of favourite cars, he loves the Senna because “it's track focused, so thoroughbred and direct.” Yasasvy is also a fan of the Aston Martin DBS manual because of “its manual, naturally aspirated v12. Even Senna can't give that feel.”
