Converting My Porsche 991 GT3 To A Touring! 20 Oct 2021
At 41,000 miles it's time to give my Porsche GT3 a face lift! I’ve brought my car in for a minor service to make sure everything’s okay, and run a diagnostic check on the whole thing is running smoothly.
We’ve taken a full look over the body of the GT3, manually checking over the brake pads and disks, the exhaust, and ensuring that everything is as it should be. The car is looking like it’s in good condition at the moment, and now I’m asking the question; can it become a GT3 Touring?
Being in an incredibly privileged position to currently have three winged GT3s in the garage, I really like the idea of integrating a duck-tail vibe onto this car. I’ve recently found out that there’s less 50 of than GT3 Touring in the whole of the UK, and I’m looking to find out if I can remove the wing from my 991 GT3 and keep the same aerodynamic qualities.
Taking a step into the Porsche spec room, which is quite literally where dreams are made, this is where I want to get all of my subscribers involved. I want you to help me give my GT3 a mid-life refresh, taking a look through all of the options as we dramatically change the look of this car.
From upgrading the gear stick, selecting the most beautiful grab handles to finding the perfect colour for the exterior, I want this to be a project we work on together as we give it a refresh and a boost of life. My adventure with the GT3 is far from over, as I want to drive it to reach at least 100,000 miles and truly become a car for life.
