What’s in the bay today? The biggest car in the UK! The 2021, £100K Super-Luxury Cadillac Escalade ESV.   

It runs a 420hp Petrol V8, and it’s the very first model in Europe. For a sense of scale, we placed a Range Rover next to it, which is approximately half the length of the ESV. It’s the biggest boot I’ve ever seen. The USP of the vehicle is that it seats 7 and still has room for a full-size boot, that is to say, an American full-size boot.  

When you sit in the driver’s seat, the spaciousness is almost disconcerting. Looking over the bonnet, it’s hard to see where the car ends! We moved it inside to scale it against the other cars in the garage, even the surface area of the doors is vast. We’re going to need bedsheets of PPF applied to cover the ESV. Even before the protective stage, we’ll need miles of paint prep!  

The boot continues to be the star of the show with this vehicle though. Amazingly, it projects the Cadillac logo onto the ground below the boot, and when I swipe it with my foot, it automatically opens, very intuitive.  

Who knows how many more of these will appear in the UK, we may have to build wider roads. Stay tuned for more updates.
